York Music Centre runs a wide range of group music-making opportunities and tuition for all ages (3 to 18) and all abilities - every week during term time at Millthorpe School and satellite music centre activities taking place at Clifton Green and Ralph Butterfield school.

All students have the opportunity to experience playing in informal and formal concerts throughout the year, both locally and regionally. For the more senior/advanced groups there is also the opportunity to play during summer tours. There are often additional projects for various groups and all students have the opportunity to engage with Arts Award at all levels (Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold).
