• Friends of York Music Centre – Our charitable partner, supporting bursaries, running the café and tuck shop, and managing our central sheet music library

• Millthorpe School – Host venue for York Music Centre

• Explore York Libraries & Archives – Hosts our original community sheet music lending library at Huntington Library

• National Centre for Early Music (NCEM) – Partner on Minster Minstrels and I Can Play!, a music session for deaf children

• Charanga – Trusted digital resource and long-term partner for music education

• York St John University – Creative collaborations with PhD students on composition and film projects

• University of York – Partner in educational and cultural activities

• York Barbican and Grand Opera House York – Performance venues for our large-scale student concerts

• Yorkshire Film Archive – Partnered with York Youth Orchestra on multimedia composition projects

• Late Music – Co-producers of student composition projects since 2012

• Yorchestra – Collaboration on holiday orchestras and student progression routes

• York Cultural Awards – Celebrated our award-winning Big Sing project in 2017

• Yorkshire Young Musicians – Support for advanced learners and progression

• Chapter House Youth Choir – Partner for joint choral and educational opportunities

• York Symphony Orchestra – Provides free concert tickets to students

• Hiscox Insurance – Hosted our office space for several years and continues to support arts and education locally

We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, regulated by the CIC Regulator. We report the outcomes and finances of every project to our funders and stakeholders. We also maintain open and regular dialogue with the Musicians’ Union to support and promote fair working practices in music education.
