Fees & Bursaries
We are committed to making high-quality music education accessible and affordable for all families. Our fees are kept as low as possible and we offer bursaries to support students who may need financial help.
Ensemble Membership

First Access Membership – £24.00 per month (£96.00 per term)

Includes beginner sessions such as First Ukuleles, First Strings, First Theory, First Keyboards and more

Full Membership – £25.00 per month (£100.00 per term)

Includes access to any eligible ensemble, including York Youth Orchestra

Attend as many or as few sessions as you like – the more you do, the better the value!

Individual Tuition

15-minute lesson – £26.25 per month (£105.00 per term)

30-minute lesson – £52.50 per month (£210.00 per term)

Lessons are invoiced monthly in advance via SpeedAdmin

Tuition is available in a wide range of instruments and voice
Instrument Hire

From £5.50 to £12.00 per month, depending on the instrument

Hire is available to all students, not just Music Centre members

We also hire instruments to schools as part of their wider music provision

Free instrument hire is provided to schools where we supply an experienced music teacher to deliver Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET)

We offer a 30% discount for families receiving Working Tax Credit or Universal Credit.
You can apply for a bursary as part of your sign-up process through SpeedAdmin. Alternatively, please contact us in confidence. We aim to ensure that no child misses out due to financial circumstances. Even if you don’t think you qualify, please get in touch — we may still be able to help.
Payment & Admin All fees are managed via SpeedAdmin, our secure online platform. Parents and carers can log in to view invoices, update details, and manage payments. Monthly payments are typically made by Direct Debit.
