When your child is ready to move on from hiring and would like to purchase their own instrument, we may be able to help through our Instrument Purchase Scheme. This allows families to buy a new instrument without paying VAT, potentially saving up to 20% on the purchase cost.

To be eligible:

• The student must be receiving tuition through York Music Education or attending York Music Centre

• The instrument must be for their personal use

• The purchase must be made through YME and collected at a supervised session
